Based on what&#8217;s the aim of your card sort, you can also set what the cards are going to include and how they&#8217;re going to be presented to the respondents.<\/p>\n                            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"links\">\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"add-descriptions-and-images-to-your-cards\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Add descriptions and images to your cards<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"add-descriptions-and-images-to-your-cards\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>To add descriptions and images to cards, you have to enable them first. To enable them, select respectively&nbsp;<strong>Add tooltip descriptions<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Add card images<\/strong>&nbsp;in the options panel to the right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add card descriptions in the same way as the labels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Hide card labels<\/strong>&nbsp;if you want the respondents to do sorting based solely on card images.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To add a card image, click the&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong>&nbsp;button and then upload your image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only images in GIF, JPG, and PNG formats are allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The image has to be smaller than 500 KiB and with the maximum dimensions of 1024 x 1024 px.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"import-and-export-your-cards-in-a-csv-file\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Import and export your cards in a CSV file<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"import-and-export-your-cards-in-a-csv-file\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Above the cards editor, there is an option to import and export cards stored in a CSV file. Use this option to easily reuse your cards between Card Sorting studies, or if you want, to bring in cards created somewhere other than in UXtweak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Use UTF-8 encoded CSV files to ensure that the import works correctly. The simplest way to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1q3ATJDfNvc_o9rxiFpMwVWK4J3BSlRqUL4K7sfgRkPQ\/edit?usp=sharing\">save your imported file with UTF-8 encoding is to edit it through Google Sheets<\/a>&nbsp;(click the link for more instructions). If your cards have images, you will have to re-add them manually.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"adjust-how-the-respondents-interact-with-the-cards\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Adjust how the respondents interact with the cards<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"adjust-how-the-respondents-interact-with-the-cards\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>By default, the respondents don&#8217;t have to sort all of the cards to complete the study. If you only want complete results, select&nbsp;<strong>Require respondents to sort all cards.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check&nbsp;<strong>Show card order indicator<\/strong>&nbsp;if the order of cards within categories is important to you and you want to highlight this fact to the respondents as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unless the order of cards is randomized, the respondents sort cards in the order they&#8217;re listed in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To move a card up or down on the list, simply drag and drop it to the desired destination. Alternatively, use the&nbsp;<strong>Move up\/down<\/strong>&nbsp;buttons under the ellipsis button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To show the cards to respondents in a different order, select&nbsp;<strong>Randomize the order of cards.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the order of cards is randomized, by changing the&nbsp;<strong>Number of cards to show to a respondent<\/strong>, you can show every respondent only a certain number from the total number of cards available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>Show unsorted cards indicator<\/strong>&nbsp;helps the respondents see how many cards they have remaining.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This section covers how to use the Cards tab to: Above the cards editor, there is an option to import and export cards stored in a CSV file.
