Respondents cannot continue before they answer this question (if it has been turned on).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Screening question can only be a&nbsp;<em>multiple-option question.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The purpose of the Screening question is to accept only those respondents who meet certain conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"step-block\">    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 1<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Write your question. You can provide additional information in the description when necessary.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 2<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Select whether you want the screening question shown as a dropdown or a radio button selection.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 3<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Click &#8220;+ Add answer&#8221; option and create as many answer options as you want.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 4<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Use the Reject checkboxes to select which options should lead to the rejection of the respondents who pick them.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 5<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Below the screening question, you can customize the message seen by respondents who have been rejected.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 6<\/span>\n\n                    <p>You can also set the redirect URL to those, who have been rejected (e.g., to link them to your different study that is open to anyone).<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"create-pre-study-and-post-study-questionnaires\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Create Pre-study and Post-study questionnaires<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"create-pre-study-and-post-study-questionnaires\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>The Pre-study questionnaire is a survey given before the&nbsp;Tree Testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Post-study questionnaire is a survey given after the&nbsp;Tree Testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aside from their placement within the study, the two questionnaires work the same.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"step-block\">    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 1<\/span>\n\n                    <p>If needed, customize the message shown before the survey (e.g., if you have special instructions for answering the questions). The default message should be sufficient in most cases.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 2<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Write your question. You can provide additional information in the description, or add an image if necessary. The image can be zoomed in and is scrollable for the participants.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 3<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Select the type of answer. The answer can be either free text (single or multi-line), multiple options (checkboxes, checkboxes with images, checkbox grid, radio buttons, radio buttons with images, radio button grid, dropdown), or scoring (5-point and 7-point Likert Scale, Net Promoter Score).<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 4<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Select the Answer required if you want the question to be mandatory. Otherwise, respondents will be able to skip the question.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 5<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Click Add question to add more questions and repeat steps 2-5 for each one.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Above the questions, there is an option to import and export questions inside a .CSV file. Use this option to easily reuse questionnaires between studies or to bring in questionnaires created outside the study setup environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Use UTF-8 encoded CSV files to ensure that the import works correctly. The simplest way to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1tmICALPvCvlAxcu0yTrhkdmRMglUjiSAM_s_s_Awhzs\/edit?usp=sharing\">save your imported file with UTF-8 encoding is to edit it through Google Sheets<\/a>&nbsp;(click the link for more instructions). This example shows how to set up a multiple-option question so you can later segment respondents based on the extent of their past experience with your company.<\/p>\n                            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"links\">\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"create-multiple-option-questions\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Create multiple-option questions<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"create-multiple-option-questions\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>After you pick any of the multiple-option answer types (dropdown select, radio button, checkbox select), you can define more options by pressing + Add answer option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With dropdown select and radio buttons, respondents can only pick one option. With the checkbox select, they can pick multiple options at once.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Options have to be between 1 and 250 characters long.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose Options in random order to randomize the order in which these options are displayed for each respondent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the Trash bin button to remove options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Allow other answer option can be selected when using the dropdown select, radio button, or checkbox select answer types. This allows respondents to input their own answers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you enable Require to justify answer, respondents will be asked for a text explanation of the selection they made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose a Random order of answer options to randomize the order in which these options are displayed for each respondent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"grid-questions\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Grid questions<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"grid-questions\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Grid questions are best suited for asking participants about pairs taken from two sets. For example, the rows can represent time slots, and columns can represent days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you choose a Checkbox grid, the participant will be able to select as many options as they want regardless of their row or column positions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the Radio button grid, the participant can choose one option for each row.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"likert-scale-questions\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Likert scale questions<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"likert-scale-questions\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>In Likert scale questions, respondents are given a statement and are asked to give a score that says how much they agree. For example: &#8216;Please select how much you agree with the following statement: The information on <a href=\"http:\/\/example.com\">example.com<\/a> is organized intuitively.&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The higher the score, the more the respondent agrees with the statement. The highest score means total agreement and the lowest score means total disagreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a 5-point and 7-point Likert scale. The 5-point scale is slightly easier to interpret, while the 7-point scale is slightly more accurate and gives respondents more choices to express themselves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can adjust the labels of the lowest and highest scores to describe the meaning of the scale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you enable Require to justify answer, respondents will be asked for an explanation of the score they gave.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"net-promoter-score\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Net Promoter Score<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"net-promoter-score\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Net Promoter Score questions are used to measure user experience, so it&#8217;s simple and easy to understand. Net Promoter Score questions look like this: &#8220;How likely are you to recommend <a href=\"http:\/\/example.com\">example.com<\/a> to your friends or colleagues?&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The respondent answers on a scale from 0 to 10. The higher the score, the more likely the respondents are to recommend the object in question. Respondents are split into:\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Promoters<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Score 9-10 &#8211; Users who are happy with using your website\/service\/etc. and spread the word to others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Passives<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Score 7-8 &#8211; Users who are content but have their reserves. Fix what ails them to decrease the chance of their defecting to competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Detractors<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Score 6 and lower &#8211; Unhappy users who may spread negative word of mouth. Pay close attention to what they have to say.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The final Net Promoter Score you&#8217;ll get as a result is a number between -100 (if all respondents are detractors) and 100 (if all respondents are promoters).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can adjust the labels of the lowest and highest scores to change the meaning of the scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"adjust-the-order-of-your-questions\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Adjust the order of your questions<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"adjust-the-order-of-your-questions\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Unless the order of questions is&nbsp;<em>randomized<\/em>, the questions will be displayed in the same order as they&#8217;re seen in the study setup.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can change the order of questions by simple drag and drop. Just grab a question with your cursor and pull it up or down to move it higher or lower on the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, under the ellipsis button, you can move questions up and down by pressing the buttons Move up or Move down.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can enable the &#8216;Allow to go back&#8217; option. This allows the participant to return to previous questions (and edit their answers?). If this option is disabled, participants do not have the option to return to previous questions (after they clicked &#8216;Next&#8217;?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"insert-questions-from-the-question-bank\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Insert questions from the question bank<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"insert-questions-from-the-question-bank\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">The question bank is a collection of reusable questions that you can add to your study to&nbsp;<strong>build thorough study questionnaires in just a couple of seconds<\/strong>. The types of questions available are adjusted to be suitable to the study type &#8211; in this case,&nbsp;Tree Testing. Check out the different questionnaires where the question bank is available (pre-study, post-study, after-task) to see recommendations on what kinds of questions to ask at which point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">In the questionnaire where you&#8217;d like to use the bank, click&nbsp;<strong>Explore question bank<\/strong>. This will open the question bank window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Use the top panel to view questions by category or search by a specific term. The question categories shown are relevant to the tool and the questionnaire type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filter available questions by choosing among tags and question types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Click the questions that you&#8217;d like to add<\/strong>&nbsp;to select them. The right panel shows all the questions that are selected. If you change your mind, click&nbsp;&#8216;<strong>Deselect question&#8217;<\/strong>&nbsp;to remove a question from theselection. Once you&#8217;re done choosing, click&nbsp;&#8216;<strong>Add questions<\/strong>.&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some questions offer multiple suggestions for how you can adjust some of the words in the question. Before adding them, click the highlighted word to view and choose among suggestions or to write your own replacement.&nbsp;<strong>Once the questions have been added, you&#8217;ll be able to customize them completely to your liking.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>Standardized questionnaires<\/strong>&nbsp;are specialized validated sets of questions. When including questions from a standardized questionnaire, including all questions from the set is optional but recommended. Doing so allows you to evaluate the results of the questionnaire as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Available standardized questionnaires are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usability.gov\/how-to-and-tools\/methods\/system-usability-scale.html\"><strong>System Usability Scale (SUS)<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"skip-logic\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Skip Logic<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"skip-logic\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">If you add Skip logic to any UXtweak questionnaire, you will be able to determine what exactly should come next after each question. This way, you can make sure that the questionnaire is always tailored to fit the specific participant. Enabling skip logic in your questionnaire will force the one question per page setting as well to make sure the participant doesn\u2019t see any questions they aren\u2019t supposed to.
