You can select from three main types of media to test:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>iOS native apps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Android native apps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Websites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prototypes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>Any website or prototype is supported<\/strong>, as long as respondents can access it from their device via a link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">After selecting the media type, you will be prompted to insert more information about your app\/site\/prototype so that it can be displayed to participants during the study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>If you chose iOS native app:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>App name<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is how your app will be referred to during testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>URL to App Store or TestFlight<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The URL that will allow respondents to download your app at the beginning of the study. You can test an already released app from the App Store, or a beta version from TestFlight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>App URL scheme<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This optional setting allows your UXtweak study to open your app during the testing directly. If you&#8217;re not familiar with URL schemes or how to obtain them for your app, you can ignore this setting, ask your developers for help, or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/documentation\/xcode\/defining-a-custom-url-scheme-for-your-app\">read more about URL schemes here<\/a>. If you don&#8217;t include an App URL scheme, UXtweak will open the app&#8217;s store page instead. From there, the respondents should be able to open the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>If you chose Android native app:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>App name<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is how your app will be referred to during testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>URL to the Play Store or an APK download<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; The URL that will allow respondents to download your app at the beginning of the study. From there, the respondents should be able to open the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>If you chose Website<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Website name<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is how your website will be referred to during testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Website URL<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Insert a link that you want to use to open your website during the study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>If you chose Prototype<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Prototype name<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; This is how your prototype will be referred to during testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prototype URL<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Insert a link that you want to use to open your prototype during the study. In general, this link needs to be publicly accessible so that respondents may open it. For instructions on where to find the public prototype link in major prototyping tools, see the instructions below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">How to retrieve the public sharing link in my prototyping tool?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>Figma:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"step-block\">    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 1<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Navigate to your\u00a0<strong>Figma dashboard<\/strong><br>This should be the first screen you see after signing into Figma. You can also go here\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.figma.com\/files\/recent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 2<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Open the file that you&#8217;d like to import into UXtweak.<br>Double-click the file.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 3<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Click the\u00a0<strong>Share<\/strong>\u00a0button located in the header. It&#8217;s a blue button located in the upper right of your screen.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 4<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Make sure that\u00a0<strong>Anyone with a link<\/strong>\u00a0can view the prototype. Your Figma prototype needs to be publicly accessible so it can be imported.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 5<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Click the\u00a0<strong>Copy link<\/strong>\u00a0button to copy the link to clipboard. This button is located at the bottom of the displayed sharing popup.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\"><strong>Adobe XD:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"step-block\">    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 1<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Open your\u00a0<strong>Adobe XD project<\/strong>. This should be a project that&#8217;s ready for sharing, with all the needed interactions added in the Prototype tab.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 2<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Click the\u00a0<strong>Share<\/strong>\u00a0tab. It&#8217;s located at the top of the screen beside the Prototype tab.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 3<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Set the View Setting to\u00a0<strong>User Testing<\/strong>. This viewing preset is optimized for testing your prototype with users.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 4<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Make sure that<strong>\u00a0Anyone with the link<\/strong>\u00a0can access it. Your testers need to have access to your prototype.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n    \n\n    <div class=\"step-instance\">\n        <span class=\"step-number\">Step 5<\/span>\n\n                    <p>Click\u00a0<strong>Create link<\/strong>. The respondents don&#8217;t have to identify themselves (default option).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Email address<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Require respondents to provide their email before beginning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Other<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Ask for another identifier of your choice (e.g. name, screen name, internal company ID).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">If the study isn&#8217;t anonymous, respondents won&#8217;t be allowed to proceed until they identify themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">The respondent&#8217;s identification will be displayed next to their study results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">If you selected <strong>Other identifiers<\/strong>, enabling <strong>Allow duplicate identifiers<\/strong> lets multiple respondents use the same identifier (e.g., to identify members of the same group).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">By default, your study won\u2019t store respondents&#8217; IP addresses. You can enable this with the <strong>Store respondent IP address<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"protect-your-study-with-a-password\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Protect your study with a password<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"protect-your-study-with-a-password\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">There are two ways to protect access to your study link:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>No password<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; the study is open to anyone with the link<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Private study<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; requires respondents to enter a password before accessing the study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">The password has to be between 1 and 250 characters long, with no additional demands on the type of characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Don&#8217;t forget to share the password with the intended respondents!<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"set-the-ending-conditions-for-the-study\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Set the ending conditions for the study<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"set-the-ending-conditions-for-the-study\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Finishing a study ensures that it stops collecting data from respondents. You can finish a study both manually and automatically:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Manually<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; End the study anytime you want, without constraints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Respondent limit<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Automatically finish the study once it has reached the required number of respondents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Closing date<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Automatically finish a study when the deadline has been reached.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">Even if a study is set to finish automatically, you can still end it manually at any time by clicking the <strong>Finish<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">If the deadline is reached while respondents are still completing the study, they will be allowed to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"callout-block\" tabindex=\"0\">\n            <span class=\"callout-title\">CAN I REOPEN A FINISHED STUDY?<\/span>\n            <div class=\"callout-content\">Once a study has been finished, there is no way to reopen it. Therefore, be careful about setting your finishing conditions or finishing the study manually so that you&#8217;re absolutely sure you don&#8217;t want to collect any more data in the same study afterward.<br><br>If you want to repeat the same study as the one you did in the past, you can opt to\u00a0<a href=\"\/help\/creating-and-organizing-studies-from-the-dashboard\/\">clone<\/a>\u00a0the study project. You can either tweak it or leave it as is before you launch the project as a new study.
