{"id":2216,"date":"2025-05-20T11:08:53","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T11:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8091\/how-do-i-create-a-first-click-test-study-in-first-click-test\/how-do-i-use-the-tasks-tab-in-first-click-test\/"},"modified":"2025-06-30T12:53:53","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T12:53:53","slug":"tab-tasks","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uxtweak.com\/help\/first-click-setup\/tab-tasks\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I use the Tasks tab in First Click Test?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"text-block\">In this help, we&#8217;ll discuss how to use the Tasks tab to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Create tasks for your respondents to fulfill<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust the order and number of tasks and the order of designs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create post-task questionnaires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"create-tasks-for-your-respondents-to-fulfill\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">Create tasks for your respondents to fulfill<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"create-tasks-for-your-respondents-to-fulfill\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Each task in a first click test is aimed at learning where in the design the respondents expect that they should click in order to solve the task.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your task text should set up the scenario that the respondent should try to solve, as well as prompt them to make that first click.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may import your design as JPG\/JPEG, PNG or GIF file up to 5MB in size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For analysis of click data, you may draw hotspots in your design by opening the<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Hotspot editor<\/b>. The hotspots aren&#8217;t shown to the respondents at any time. Rather, they are used to attribute clicks to areas of interest, such as buttons or other UI elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To create a hotspot in the Hotspot editor, click one corner of an area and drag your cursor to the other corner. Don&#8217;t forget to name the newly created hotspot in the hotspot list on the right, to facilitate analysis. Create hotspots for all elements that are important to you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the device frame if you&#8217;re testing mobile designs and the respondents on desktop will see what the design would look like if framed within the specified type of device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To insert more tasks into the first click test, click<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Add another task<\/b><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By default, respondents can&#8217;t skip tasks. You can enable them to skip tasks by checking<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Allow respondents to skip tasks<\/b><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Prompt respondents to confirm their choice<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>to show the respondents a dialogue when they make the first click. In this dialogue, they will be prompted to confirm their choice. You can define multiple hotspots of different sizes for each task. Alternatively, use the<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Move up\/down<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>buttons under the ellipsis button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To show the tasks to respondents in different order, select<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Randomize task order<\/b><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The same logic applies to the order of designs.
