{"id":2372,"date":"2025-05-20T12:27:57","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T12:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8091\/how-do-i-interpret-the-results-of-a-prototype-testing-study\/how-do-i-interpret-the-paths-analysis-in-prototype-testing\/"},"modified":"2025-06-30T12:53:53","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T12:53:53","slug":"analysis-paths","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uxtweak.com\/help\/prototype-testing-results\/analysis-paths\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I interpret the Paths Analysis in Prototype Testing?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"text-block\">In this help, we&#8217;ll discuss how to use the Paths analysis to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>View Paths per task<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"view-paths-per-task\" class=\"heading-block\" tabindex=\"0\">View Paths per task<a class=\"copy-link\" title=\"Copy link\" data-id=\"view-paths-per-task\">&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.uxtweak.com\/wp-content\/themes\/uxtweak\/public\/assets\/images\/icons\/link.svg\" alt=\"Copy link\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>This analysis displays Paths one task at a time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the task selection dropdown list in the top section of the screen to switch to the task you want to analyze.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, use the arrow buttons to the left and right of the dropdown list to move to the previous\/next task.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-block\">For each task, Paths contains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>The task&#8217;s text and the correct answers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Paths table, which contains in the following order: the success value of the path, the number of respondents who took this path (total + percentage) and the path itself, composed of an ordered list of designs as they were being traversed, including the hotspots that were clicked to trigger each movement between designs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By default, the paths are ordered by the number of<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Respondents<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>in descending order, however the order can be changed, by clicking the headers<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Success<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and<span>\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;\">Respondents<\/b><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The table is sorted by the column with an arrow in its header. Arrow down means descending order, arrow up means ascending order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the value of Respondents to display a list of all respondents who took the chosen path.
