How to find the best place for all of my content?

Because Card Sorting is so intuitive, it is our favorite way of identifying how to organize the content of a website. Whether it be articles on a blog or products on an e-commerce website, content organization is the key to a website reaching its full potential.

In our research, Hybrid Card Sorting was ideal for confirming the grouping of articles on our parenting blog based on the results of our previous open Cart Sorting study. We asked the participants to sort thirty articles, this time with three categories already predefined. It still allowed them to create their own categories too.

Based on Dendrogram and Standardization grids, we were then able to tell how much sense the existing categories made for our articles, and how we should place the articles that don't quite fit the mold.
