How do people use the competition's mobile app?

While designing a navigation app, we wanted to know how people use the competition. Among all age groups, Maps is one of the most frequently used Apple mobile apps. In this usability study, we tested how quickly and easily people perform common tasks in this app.

To test common navigation features, we tasked the participants with managing their favorite places and setting up their route preferences when driving from Berlin (Germany) to Paris (France)

The UXtweak app captures screen activity and voice expressions during testing. These recordings are helpful to analyze the test step-by-step and gain a better understanding of user behavior. The analysis tab shows how often the participants failed and uncovers where they struggled most.
