How to choose appropriate visuals to illustrate articles?

In this Card Sorting study, we wanted to know how the visuals of an online magazine are perceived by the users. Pictures can help the readers navigate through the website or, in contrast, confuse them. We’ve asked participants from ages 18 – 40 to sort out the graphic visuals for articles among our magazine's four main topics.

Looking at the results in the Analysis tab, we can see how the participants perceive the visuals in relation to the topics.
