This section covers how to use the Participants step to choose how you would like to recruit participants for your interviews in the following substeps:

Recruiting Management 
First, you need to decide whether you would like UXtweak’s help in recruiting participants or if you’d like to recruit participants on your own.
Own Sourced participants
Combine 3 different recruiting channels to recruit your own participants for your interviews.
Custom Screening
In this substep, you can choose to include a custom screening question in your interview.
- The Screening question is shown to the participants during the registration for time slots. Participants cannot continue before they answer this question (if you have turned it on).
- The Screening question can only be a multiple-option question.
- To screen the participants properly add only mutually exclusive options in your screening question.
- The purpose of the Screening question is to accept only those respondents who meet certain conditions.
Step 1
Write your question. You can provide additional information in the description when necessary.
Step 2
Select whether you want the screening question shown as a dropdown or a radio button selection.
Step 3
Click “Add option” and create as many answer options as you want.
Step 4
Use the Reject checkboxes to select which options should lead to the rejection of the respondents who pick them.
Step 5
Below the screening question, you can customize the message seen by respondents who have been rejected.
Step 6
You can also set the redirect URL to those who have been rejected (e.g., to link them to your different study that is open to anyone).

Participant Sources
In this substep, you add and manage the sources from which the participants will be recruited for your interview.
User Panel participants
If you choose to recruit participants from the User Panel, you must add a User Panel order to your interview.
The targeting you are looking for is all set up in the order itself. You will also be provided with an estimate of the price of your recruiting order. UXtweak staff will then contact you about the final price and then we will take care of the whole recruiting process for you.
User Panel orders
You can add multiple orders for your interview. Each order has a separate set of time slots.
Own sourced participants
You can combine all of the own sourced recruiting options in your interview. You can recruit using the direct link, Own Database, and Onsite Recruiting widget.
You can add multiple different participant recruiting channels to your interview.
Each time slot in the schedule can be connected to only one recruiting source.
Your own recruiting sources
Add and combine Own Database, Onsite Widget, and direct link recruiting. Each recruiting has a separate set of time slots.
