An overview of all tabs in Card Sorting setup

You create your Card Sorting study in several tabs. Here’s a brief summary of each tab:

General tab 

• Set the name and language of your study
• Select a device to be tested on
• Check when the study was created and last modified
• Select how the respondents identify themselves
• Guard access to your study with a password
• Set the ending conditions for the study

Cards tab 

• Create your cards with labels and images
• Customize how the respondents see the cards (descriptions, order indicators)
• Adjust randomization and how many cards are seen by individual respondents
• Import or export your cards for their easy re-use

Categories tab 

• In closed or hybrid card sort, create the pre-determined categories
• In open or hybrid card sort, determine whether respondents must name their categories

Messages tab 

• Make personal welcome and thank you messages to be seen by the respondents
• Write up instructions that best match your study
• Personalize the message shown to those who follow the study URL once the study is closed

Questionnaire tab 

• Create a screening question to reach the right type of respondents
• Prepare the questions to be asked in the pre-study and the post-study survey
• Import or export your questions for their easy re-use

Screening tab 

• Choose the regions or countries your respondents should come from
• Block specific IP addresses to prevent them from accessing your study
• Specify which operating systems respondents must use to access your study
• Choose the web browsers that are allowed to open your study

Branding tab 

• Customize the color scheme of your study
• Insert your company’s branding by uploading a logo

Recruitment section 

• Copy the link to your study so you can share it with your respondents
• Set up rewards for completing the study successfully
