Use the visitor list
The list of visitors is the main feature of the Visitors tab. These are are all thepeople who were recorded while visiting your websiteand who also match thefilter selected above. You can create complex visitor filters based on the properties of visitors, their sessions and their activity. By default, the list displays everyone. Each visitor’s entry contains:
The visitor’s number and icon. The icons are randomly generated and serve only for easier identification of visitors
Number of matching sessions– How many of the visitor’s sessions match the currentSmartSearch filter. By default with not filter, that means all of the user’s sessions.
Visitor selection via a checkbox. Selected visitors are highlighted and can havetheir data exported in a CSV file
Play last session – click the button to replay the visitor’s last session. Last session means the visitor’s most recent session that matches the filter above
Last visit– When visitor’s last session ended
First visit– When visitor’s first session started
Total sessions
Total pageviews
Total events
Total time– The length visitor’s all sessions
Total active time– Active time is the time that the visitor spent actively interacting with the site
Location– The country where the visitor’s last session came from
OS– The operating system that the visitor was using during their last session
Browser– The browser that the visitor was using during their last session
By default, the visitors are ordered their relevance to the currentSmartSearch filter. You can change their order by selecting a different sorting metric in the Sort by dropdown list above the visitor list. Click the arrow buttons to change between ascending (arrow up) and descending (arrow down) order.
Visitor list
Here, all of your recorded visitors are displayed side by side and can be analyzed, sorted and filtered. Click “More details” to learn more about each visitor.
View details about individual visitors
To view more information about the visitor, clickMore detailsbeneath the visitor’s entry. In the header of the modal window, you can then pressPreviousandNextto move between visitors. There are two tabs in the detailed visitor modal view with the following contents:
Visitor’s Sessions
In the dropdown list at the top of the modal window, you can select one of the visitors sessions. The sessions are marked by the time when they started. If a filter was selected, the only the visitor’s sessions that match the selected filter will be displayed here. Press thebutton to replay the selected session. Below, there is also a list of information about the selected session:
Duration– How long the session lasted. Session terminates automatically if the visitor is idle for 30 minutes
Active time– Activity means the user was doing any of the following: moving the cursor, scrolling, clicking, pressing keys, using browser back button.
Inactive time– A visitor is considered inactive if they haven’t done any of the above in 4 second span.
Number of pageviews
Number of unique pages– The number of pageviews with unique URLs in the session.
Number of events
Avg. page load– Average time that it took for a page to load for the visitor.
Time from previous visit– if this session isn’t their first, how long ago did the visitor visit before?
Device
Device type
Operating system
Browser
Screen resolution
Location (city, region, country)
Session details
Switch between the visitor’s sessions and view their details. Use the replay button to open the session player.
Visitor’s Statistics
A set of statistics that give you insight about the visitor. These are calculated for the visitor as a whole and so are unaffected by session and activity filters:
First visit– When their first session started
Last visit– When their last session ended
Total number of sessions
Total number of pageviews
Total number of unique pages– How many unique URLs they visited
Total number of events
Total time on website– Sum of duration of all of the visitor’s sessions
Total active time– Sum of active time over all of the visitor’s sessions
Total inactive time– Sum of inactive time over all of the visitor’s sessions
Avg. time on website– Visitor’s average session duration
Avg. active time– Visitor’s average active time during session
Avg. inactive time– Visitor’s average inactive time during session
Avg. page load– Average time that it took for a page to load for the visitor
Most visited page– URL that was visited the highest number of times
Most active page (time)– URL that has highest overall active time
Most active page (events)– URL that has highest overall number of events

Visitor's session statistics
The statistics tab shows you more aggregated data about the user, such as when they first visited your website and which pages they visited most overall
Export selected visitors
You can either select visitors individually, or en masse by using theSelect allandDeselect allbuttons
If you apply a new filter, all visitors will be deselected automatically
Pick an action that you want to do with the selected visitors and clickGoto execute it
Export as CSV– exports details about the selected visitors (the same details as seen in the Visitor’s Statistics tab) as a CSV spreadsheet
Export your visitors
For additional processing, you can export data about the selected visitors in the form of a CSV file.
