Pre-pay participants in Business Plan

Note that if you need a different number of participants in different time intervals, you can make use of the fact that pre-paid participants accumulate for up to 3 months. This gives you a good amount of flexibility in how you use your pre-paid participants.

When you subscribe to the Business plan with prepaid participants, at the beginning of every billing period (month/year), you will receive a set quantity of participants whom you can recruit. This quantity is dependent on how many participants you've pre-paid.

When placing a User Panel order that meets the pre-paid participant conditions (see below for details), then the ordered amount will be automatically deducted from your pre-paid participants instead of charging you the regular price of the order. If you order more participants than the number you have pre-paid, you will be charged only the difference before the recruiting starts.

Any unused participants from the current billing period will accumulate for up to 1 month. When placing a User Panel order, participants from older billing periods will be used first.

Pre-paid participants cannot be used with studies involving Video recording (screen, voice, face/camera), unless otherwise agreed upon ("Custom pre-paid participants").

In case you would be interested in using pre-paid participants with Website Testing studies and Mobile Testing studies, studies with enabled video and audio recordings, and/or moderated studies (Live Interviews), please contact us.

You may use pre-paid panelists with a correctly set up unmoderated UXtweak study which passes our study audit, up to 20 minutes in length. The study must not require the participant to perform any actions outside the scope of the tested website/app/prototype or the UXtweak Study Wizard.
Examples of studies not eligible for using pre-paid participants include studies that ask the participant to:

• Use their device's camera, microphone, and/or other device-specific sensors (e.g., video/audio recordings, AR applications).
• Use any external devices, tools, or applications, such as TVs, streaming devices (e.g., Chromecast), gaming consoles, measurement tapes, and third-party applications (e.g., calculator app) which need to be downloaded from the App Store / Play Store. This restriction does not apply to the UXtweak app itself.
• Perform any external actions outside the study, such as walking around the room or taking external notes on paper,
• Take the study under constrained environmental and/or other conditions (e.g., only at home during a certain part of the day).

UXtweak reserves the right to contact you about any non-standard recruiting criteria and/or requirements on the participant found during the study audit.

In case you are not sure your study is eligible for use with pre-paid participants or need to recruit niche groups of participants (even if they do not meet the above-mentioned criteria), please contact us.

At any point, you can upgrade your subscription to include more pre-paid participants.

Example: You are subscribed to a Business plan with 30 pre-paid participants. You've already used 20 of them, but you found out that you actually need 20 more. By upgrading to a Business plan with 50 pre-paid participants, you'll receive 50 new pre-paid participants, plus the remaining 10 pre-paid participants from your previous plan will be transferred to the new plan's first billing period automatically.

As long as you maintain an ongoing subscription to a Business or a Custom plan, your participants accumulate for up to 1 month after the billing period when they were originally purchased. When downgrading from these plans, any pre-paid participants accumulated over previous billing periods will expire automatically.

Unused pre-paid participants are carried over for up to one month after the end of the billing period in which they were purchased. After this one-month period, any unused participants will expire.

Example: You subscribed to a monthly plan with 50 pre-paid participants in January. You didn’t use any participants in January. By the start of February, you have 100 participants available (50 participants carried over from January).

Collection of participants' personal data is not allowed for unmoderated studies unless specifically agreed upon otherwise.
