The Live Interviews in UXtweak include two main interview types: Study Interviews and Freeform Interviews. Here, you can learn when you should use which interview type.

This interview type is directly bound to a specific UX research approach. You should choose this type of interview when your study is focused on one research approach, and you want to have the same interview structure for all participants. The Study Interviews are all about the study connected to the interview.

When you are creating a study interview, you need to choose one of the 9 available study types.

Choosing the study type for your interview

Choosing the study type for your interview

The first step in creating a Study Interview is choosing the study type. This study will be shared with the participants in the call.

The setup of your chosen study type is the first step in preparing your Study Interview. After you are done with the setup of the study, you can move on to planning the interviews.

This type of interview is not strictly tied to a specific study method. It is best suited for conducting exploratory research and engaging in open-ended conversations with your participants. Additionally, it can be used to combine multiple research approaches into a single interview.

There is an option to include a custom link in your interview planning, which can be easily shared with the participants in the call. Since there is no study directly connected to this interview type, you will start the setup process by planning your interview right away.
