Marvin

Marvin is a qualitative data analysis platform & research repository. They aim to automate the tedious parts of qualitative research with an AI assistant.

Import and analyze interview recordings 

Our integration with Marvin lets you seamlessly import recordings from UXtweak’s user interviews and usability tests directly to Marvin with just a couple of clicks. This makes it easy to manage, analyze, and share valuable research insights—all in one place.

Here’s how to do it.

In UXtweak: 

To import your interviews into Marvin, you’ll first need to export your recordings. There are two types of Live Interviews:

• Freeform Interviews
• Study Interviews

You can learn more about these interview types in the Live Interviews section of the documentation. The export process for each type is different.

Freeform Interviews 

1. Go to the Participants tab in the results of your Freeform Interview.
2. Select the recording(s) you wish to export.
3. Press the Export button and select Recordings as MP4.

• You can choose to export recordings to your device, Google Drive or OneDrive.
• Export to Google Drive and OneDrive requires you to enable an integration inside UXtweak. Learn how to enable Google Drive integration or OneDrive integration.

Participants tab

Navigate to the Participants tab to find and manage your Freeform Interview recordings. This is where your interview recordings can be exported.

Study Interviews 

1. Go to the Respondents tab in the results of your Study Interview.
2. Select the recording(s) you wish to export.
3. Click Choose action from the Respondents selection tab
4. Select the Export videos action and press the GO button.

Access and manage all your Study Interview recordings through the Respondents tab. This is where your interview recordings can be exported.

In Marvin: 

To import the recordings to Marvin:

1. Go to your Project files and click Add new files.
2. You can choose to upload files from your device or Import files from Google Drive.

Importing recordings from Google Drive

To enable recordings import Google Drive, you’ll need to connect it to Marvin first. To do that click Import files > Google Drive. To enable the integration you’ll need to accept the requested permissions in Google, granting Marvin access to your files.

That’s it! Your recording is now uploaded to Marvin, ready for transcription and analysis. You can use AI to summarize the content, generate transcript, make comments, and tag user feedback.

Embed UXtweak reports as PDF 

You can also easily embed your PDF study reports from UXtweak, making it easy for stakeholders to access and read them. Upon uploading to Marvin, you can:

• Highlight key insights
• Tag and categorize data
• Summarize the report using Dovetail AI

Follow these steps to embed the UXtweak PDF Report in Dovetail:

In UXtweak: 

1. Go to the Export tab in the results of your UXtweak study.
2. Select what parts you want your report to have.
3. Click Generate report and wait a couple of seconds.
4. When the report is ready, click Download.

Exporting PDF reports

The Export tab lets you generate and download PDF reports of your UXtweak studies. You can customize which sections to include based on your needs.

In Marvin: 

Here’s how you can embed your UXtweak study report to Marvin for further analysis.

1. Go to your Project files and click Add new files.
2. Choose Upload files select the report you want to upload.
3. Wait until the report is uploaded, then click on it to open.

Upload your files

Click <strong>Add new files</strong> in your <strong>Project files</strong>, then select <strong>Upload files</strong> to start uploading your files.
