This section covers how to use the General setup to:
Name your recruiting, choose the study you want to recruit for, and record any useful details in the notes.
This is where you select the study that you wish to recruit for by using the User Panel. You can choose from the existing studies available in your team. More than one User Panel can be used to recruit for the same study.
All UXtweak study types (except the Session Recording, which records data from actual users) can be selected for recruiting. You can select a study that is still just a draft. However, before you launch the recruiting, you will have to launch the study as well.
The study type affects the price of your recruiting. Simpler studies, such as Survey, have lower prices of recruiting than the more complex studies, such as Website Testing or Prototype Testing, since more complex studies are more difficult for participants to understand and complete.
After you place an order by launching your panel, we will conduct an audit of your study to make sure the study is set up correctly and that it doesn’t contain any prohibited content.
The following types of content are prohibited in studies that use the User Panel for recruitment:
In addition to the above, the following features will be automatically disabled in your studies for the respondents recruited by the User Panel.
The study you select must be Active before you can launch the recruiting.
When creating your User Panel, you will be asked to select at least one of the following research topics to describe what your study is about:
You may adjust the research topic later. Before you place your order, please select the topic (or topics) that fit your study best. The study topic is important for the participant selection process (to prevent our panelists from being oversaturated by too many studies on similar topics). A badly selected topic may lead to a delay in launching your recruitment until the problem has been fixed.
Select at least one topic that fits your study the best.
The notes provide you with an opportunity to store additional information about the recruiting.
Example uses for notes:
Your notes can be edited after you have started the recruiting process. The notes are not shown to the participants at any point.
