Insight editor toolbar
The toolbar provides quick access to text formatting, links, emojis, and content blocks while you write.
The formatting toolbar provides controls for styling text, inserting structured blocks, and enhancing insights with visual or semantic cues. It appears directly below the header and is always available while editing.
Using the toolbar, you can:
- Add visual emphasis using colors, highlights, or emojis
- Format text and headings to structure your Insight
- Convert content into bullet or numbered list
- Insert content blocks such as media or research blocks
Text Formatting 
You can apply standard text formatting to any selected text:
- Headings: Levels 1–4 for structuring sections
- Normal text: Default paragraph style
- Bold: Highlight key statements
- Italic: Add emphasis
- Underline: Draw attention to specific content
- Strikethrough: Indicate removal or change
- Bullet list: Present related items in an unordered list when sequence does not matter.
- Numbered list: Display steps, priorities, or ordered information in a clear, sequential structure.
Formatting updates happen inline without disrupting the editor flow.
Undo & Redo
Undo and redo controls allow you to step backward or forward through recent changes without affecting the synced state of the document.
Links
Use the link control to attach URLs to selected text. Links remain interactive in the editor and are preserved in PDF exports.

You can add or edit a link for selected text and adjust the URL directly from this menu.
Text Color & Highlight
You can change the text color or apply a background highlight to emphasize important ideas or categorize content.

You can apply a background color to selected text to draw attention or create visual emphasis.
Emoji Picker
The emoji picker opens from the toolbar. It supports:
- Categories for browsing
- Recents for quick access
Emojis can be used inline or as accent markers within callouts and other block types.

You can insert emojis into your content and browse by category or reuse recently used emojis.
Insert Block Menu
The block menu lets you insert new content blocks at the cursor position. It includes:
- Quick access to commonly used blocks
- Option to insert any block type
- Option to open the View all blocks modal

You can insert new content blocks or open the full block library from this menu.
View All Blocks Modal
Selecting “View all blocks” opens a full‑screen modal where you can:
- Browse all supported block types
- Filter by category (Basic, Media, UXtweak)
This is the recommended way to discover and add less common blocks.
